Аннотация
This article presents an analytical review of alternative and adjunctive treatment strategies for epilepsy in children and adults resistant to standard antiepileptic drug therapy. Dietary approaches (including classical and modified ketogenic diets), vagus nerve stimulation, neurosurgical interventions, hormonal therapy, intravenous immunoglobulins, antiviral agents, and non-pharmacological methods such as psychotherapy, biofeedback, acupuncture, phytotherapy, homeopathy, and aromatherapy are discussed. Indications, contraindications, efficacy, and limitations of each approach are analyzed from the perspective of evidence-based medicine. The review demonstrates that an individualized multimodal strategy incorporating alternative therapies may significantly improve seizure control and quality of life in patients with pharmacoresistant epilepsy.
