INTRARENAL ULTRASOUND MARKERS AS PREDICTORS OF COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT IN CHRONIC CEREBRAL HYPOPERFUSION

Аннотация
Chronic cerebral hypoperfusion is a key pathogenic mechanism underlying vascular cognitive impairment. Increasing evidence suggests that systemic microvascular dysfunction plays a central role in this process, linking cerebral and renal circulations through a shared vulnerability of small vessels. Intrarenal ultrasound, particularly Doppler-derived hemodynamic indices, enables noninvasive assessment of renal microvascular resistance and perfusion. This article analyzes the prognostic value of intrarenal ultrasound markers as early predictors of cognitive impairment in patients with chronic cerebral hypoperfusion.
