Аннотация
This study analyzes modern neuroradiological methods for evaluating the functional state of brain neural networks in patients suffering from epilepsy. The objective of the research is to detect changes in the resting-state "Default Mode Network" (DMN) system of the brain using fMRI (BOLD-contrast magnetic resonance imaging) and to evaluate their correlation with disease severity. Fifty patients with epilepsy and 20 healthy volunteers participated in the study. The results indicated that inter-neural network connectivity (functional connectivity) was significantly decreased in regions close to epileptic foci. This information serves as an important diagnostic biomarker for determining the localization of epileptic seizures and planning surgical interventions.
