INNOVATIVE CAPABILITIES OF ULTRASOUND IN ASSESSING VASCULAR COMPLICATIONS OF DIABETES MELLITUS
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article highlights modern methods of ultrasound examination in assessing the state of the vascular system in patients with diabetes mellitus and their diagnostic significance. Diabetic angiopathies are one of the main complications leading to a severe course of the disease, damage to the heart, brain, and peripheral blood vessels. Therefore, early detection of vascular changes is of great importance in clinical practice. The study analyzed the advantages of dopplerography, color and energy doppler, as well as ultrasonic elastography methods. These methods were used to assess blood flow velocity, vessel wall thickness, elasticity, and peripheral circulation. The obtained results showed that ultrasound examination has high informative significance in the early detection of diabetic angiopathies, assessment of their severity, and control of treatment effectiveness.
